In 2024 we will be celebrating our 35th anniversary. It is an important time and a milestone for us - all the activities that have been carried out since 1989 have resulted in Meden-Inmed becoming a respected and dynamically developing brand on the market, not only in Poland, but also abroad.

We would like to celebrate this anniversary with you. That's why we invite you to a new series of articles about our company - its beginnings, the present and the future.

We have been at your service for 35 years now

During this time, we have had the privilege of being at the forefront of many modern developments and the expansion of our range of medical equipment and products.

However, it all started with the Brüel & Kjael ultrasound scanner - at the beginning of our company we were both its distributor and service company. This was the start of Meden-Inmed's adventure. An adventure that continues to this day.
 
People come first

At Meden-Inmed, we know that a business is made up of people.
But did you know that at the very beginning of our company there were only four employees who had to take care of every aspect of the growth of the company?

We are honoured that two of them are still with us today. They are experienced engineers Piotr Ryckiewicz and Zbigniew Horeglad.

Logo

The importance of a logo for any company is something we are all aware of. It is the distinguishing feature not only of the company itself, but also of its products, its services, and its employees. Very often, as a company develops and evolves, it becomes necessary to change or transform it - and that's what happened to us!

Did you know that the first logo of Meden-Inmed was a little bit different from the one that we are using today?

It has been in constant evolution over the past 35 years in response to our needs and the needs of our customers. The rapid growth of the company has not only allowed us to expand our premises and our team. It has also made it necessary to change our logo.
 
Chief Accountant

The chief accountant is one of the most important people in a company. The role of the chief accountant has been subject to a number of changes in recent years and is now an even more demanding position.

We are honoured to have the support of Mrs Elżbieta Badowska, Chief Accountant at Meden-Inmed, who has been in charge of the Finance and Economic Department since 1993, i.e. for 31 years.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank her for all her hard work, support, and dedication, which has undoubtedly contributed to our success.

 
The company name

The company name is an important element of a company's identity and has a major impact on the company's image. It is what makes the company perceived in a particular way, and that is precisely why it often evolves to adapt to new sales realities, to operate in new areas and to meet the needs of the public.

Did you know that the first name of Meden-Inmed was Meden Medical Engineering, then it was changed to Pomorskie Centrum Techniki Medycznej Meden Sp. Z. o. o. in 1994. In the year 2000 there was another change of the company's name to the one we have today: Meden-Inmed.

 
Beginnings without salary

Did you know that the founder of Meden-Inmed, Wieslaw Zinka, did not accept any salary for the first few months of his work?

It took time to earn and receive the invoiced money that was needed to pay the salaries of the people who worked for him.

As the company grew, Mr Zinka didn't forget its origins - for the first 20 years after it was established, the CEO became the last employee to receive a salary.

 
Foreign Trade

International trade is always the next big step in a company's development. In today's world of globalisation, it is difficult to imagine doing business without contacts in other countries.

Did you know that 2024 is not only the 35th anniversary of Meden-Inmed, but also the 19th anniversary of exporting our products outside Poland?

It was in 2005 that we made the decision to start trading abroad for the first time. Thanks to this step, the company's growth has accelerated even further, and today the company's products are available in more than 100 countries all over the world.
 
The first award

Did you know what was the first award that had been won by Meden-Inmed?

The first success of Meden-Inmed came in 1995 when the company was awarded at the Rehabilitation Equipment Fair held in Łódź.

The ALEX kit, which was designed for children with balance disorders, was noticed and appreciated by specialists as an innovative and modern piece of equipment that would enable young patients to fight for their health and fitness.
 
Our first product

Did you know what was the first product manufactured entirely by Meden-Inmed company?

Our first device was the SAM system for the control of the bed and the environment of the patient with a touch or a blow. We are proud of the fact that it was awarded the Butterfly prize in 1997.
 
First full-size production facility

Did you know that Meden-Inmed's first full-size production hall was built in 2002?

The development and implementation of modern production methods led to the introduction of a quality management system. This in turn led to ISO 9001:2008 and 13485:2003 certification.

 
E-commerce

The most important and fastest growing sales channel today, allowing you not only to order and ship the goods, but also to become familiar with the brand's range of products and services.

Did you know that our company's online shop was launched in 2011

This important step in the company's history has enabled us to target a wider clientele, both corporate and private. It was a very modest start - part of the one-person rehabilitation sales department. Today, the e-commerce team consists of nine people who handle nearly 7,000 orders a year.
 
Did you know that Meden-Inmed products are exported to over 100 countries?

Since the beginning of the export of our products we have been present on the European market, which appreciated our devices for their quality, solid workmanship and safety.

As our brand developed abroad, we have also become recognizable even in the farthest corners of the globe, such as the United States, countries of Latin America, Middle East and Asia, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

We are glad that users around the world trust our brand - it is an honor to be able to support professionals in their important work at every latitude.
