13.11.2023Traction is defined as the act of drawing or pulling or as the application of a pulling force. This form of therapy is often applied in order to pull away articular surfaces in the spinal column to relieve pressure, e.g. in the course of discopathy. Traction is performed manually by physiotherapists or it involves some special equipment.
